SoulBae is a technology platform that enables users to connect with vetted, contracted peer listeners for non-clinical emotional support conversations.
SoulBae:
- Is not a dating, friendship, or social networking service
- Is not a therapy, counseling, or medical service
- Does not provide healthcare, diagnosis, or treatment
- Does not provide medical, psychological, or psychiatric services
- Uses RBI-regulated payment aggregators for payment processing
- Does not store money, provide wallets, or offer credit or lending services
- Listeners are independent contractors, not employees or agents of SoulBae
2. Nature of the Service
SoulBae provides:
- Non-clinical emotional support conversations
- Active listening
- Empathy and emotional presence
- General coping discussion (non-directive and non-clinical)
- Encouragement to seek professional help when appropriate
SoulBae does not provide:
- Medical advice
- Mental health treatment or therapy
- Diagnosis or clinical assessment
- Legal, financial, or professional advice
- Romantic, dating, or social matchmaking services
3. Not a Dating or Social Platform
SoulBae is strictly not a dating, friendship, or social discovery platform.
Users may not:
- Flirt or pursue romantic or sexual relationships
- Exchange personal contact details
- Attempt to meet outside the platform
- Use the platform for social networking
Violation may result in account suspension or termination.
4. User Responsibilities
Users must:
- Use the platform respectfully and responsibly
- Communicate in a non-abusive and lawful manner
- Not harass, threaten, or manipulate listeners
- Not request off-platform contact
- Not request illegal, harmful, or unsafe activities
SoulBae reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
5. Listener Relationship
Listeners:
- Are non-licensed individuals trained only in active listening
- Are not therapists, counselors, or medical professionals
- Operate as independent contractors
- Are compensated per completed session
- Must follow SoulBae’s ethics, safety, and confidentiality policies
- Must escalate risk situations according to platform guidelines
6. Safety & Crisis Disclaimer
If a user expresses indications of:
- Suicidal thoughts
- Self-harm
- Violence or abuse
Listeners may encourage the user to seek emergency services or licensed professionals.
SoulBae does not provide crisis intervention services and does not replace emergency services.
7. Payments
All payments:
- Are processed through RBI-regulated payment gateways
- Are collected for time-based access to non-clinical conversation services
- Are not subscriptions unless explicitly stated
- Do not involve storage of funds by SoulBae
SoulBae does not function as a wallet, lender, or financial institution.
8. Ratings & Reviews
Users may rate and review listeners.
SoulBae may use ratings and feedback for quality assurance and platform improvement.
9. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including:
- App design
- Training materials
- Platform systems
- Branding and content
are the intellectual property of SoulBae.
Users and listeners may not copy, distribute, or publish platform content without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
SoulBae is not liable for:
- User actions or decisions
- Outcomes of conversations
- Emotional interpretations or reliance on discussions
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Use of the platform is at the user’s sole discretion and responsibility.
11. Termination
SoulBae may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Safety concerns
- Policy violations
- Misuse or abuse of the platform
- Legal or compliance requirements
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
